Bio

Sometimes, one has to look at things a little differently in order to see them properly.

I was trained in Black & White photography at a very early age, learning such arcane practices as mixing my own chemicals as well as the more ordinary ones of developing and printing.

Although photography has always remained a strong passion, it is only within the last few years that I have been in a position to actively pursue it.

We exploit the general fascination with shadows and reflections to reveal a whole new world. Many of our subjects appear at first to be quite ordinary, but a closer inspection shows what is so often missed when looking at them.

Often what catches my eye is the same thing that everyone passes over with notice. Because I see it and capture its image, every one else is drawn to it. Striking images are everywjhere, sometimes they are also beautiful but they always make one stop and think.

I am still fasscinated by black & white photography. Very few images translate from color to black & white. The entire way of seeing is different. Some shows have had over half in that category. Close behind, however, are those images that escape the black & white box by a subtle shading or a little bit of color. Sometimes in nature things are almost black & white. Almost.
